		Bush vs Gore 2000 On December 9th the Supreme Court agreed to accept the case of Bush vs Gore and issued a stay to stop the recount then in progress. On December 12th, 2000 the Supreme Court issued its ruling and ended the recounts permantly, giving the election to Bush.
